You are experiencing an error when connecting an NDI stream to your Miris Capture station, despite being certain that the power supply and configuration of the two devices are correct. A simple solution may be at hand, which we explain in this article.
NDI may not work with the default configuration of Miris Box Mini. As these devices only have one network interface, they are configured by default to use DHCP but, if your network does not have a DHCP server, you can also connect to the machine via the fixed address 192.168.12.10/24.
The service using NDI may try to connect via the 192.168.12.10 address (which may not exist on your network) and therefore cannot find the NDI sources you want to send it.
To solve this problem, simply remove the unused address from the network interface.
To do this, access the network configuration. Go to "Settings > System > Network" and log in using the machine's ubicast identifier and password.
Open the IPv4 settings and delete the address by clicking on the "-" button :
Remember to apply the changes and you can now detect NDI sources on your network.
We hope you've found this article useful. Don't hesitate to consult the documentation on configuring recording profiles to find out more.
