How to lock a version in Miris Manager

Before upgrading, you may not want to use the latest available version of one of our solutions, for example if you haven't yet validated it in pre-production. In this article, we'll look at how to lock a version from within Miris Manager.

This article applies both to your local Miris Manager for recorders updates and to mirismanager.ubicast.eu for servers updates.

Go to the settings page of the machine you wish to update. The button is at the top right of the system control page :

Go to the “Software settings” tab and select the desired version from the “Release” drop-down list:

Then click on “Save”.

In the machine control, page you can now see that the new version is selected:

Now you can update your system without worrying about an untested version being installed.

Once the update is complete, we recommend that you reset the value of the “Release” field to “Branch latest or locked release”, otherwise you won't be informed of the availability of future versions.
