Welcome to this article in which we take you through the various steps involved in creating your Zoom and Teams recording. Don't worry, you won't need to change your habits! Our mechanism will enable you to automatically import your Zoom and Microsoft Teams recordings as MP4 videos into a dedicated channel on your Nudgis platform.

If you don't have UbiCast recording stations, Nudgis will let you retrieve recordings of your videoconferences. Recording is available on both applications, which enables people who are absent during a videoconference to review it afterwards.
To be able to use this feature, please contact your Nudgis administrator to configure the integration of these third-party services Zoom and Teams.
First, we'll take a look at the scenario with the Zoom application, followed by Microsoft Teams.
Zoom
This integration will automatically import the videoconference recording into the Zoom conference host's personal channel.
You must connect at least once to the Nudgis platform, so that the personal channel creation mechanism can run
To do this, launch the recording in your Zoom application by clicking on the “Record” button.
By default, the title of the conference comes from the name of the Zoom profile. You'll therefore have a video of the Zoom recording in your personal channel, entitled “Zoom Meeting by First Name Last Name”.
When the videoconference is over, stop recording :
Then exit the meeting, so that the recording is available on the Zoom cloud and can be published on Nudgis.
The recording will begin processing in Zoom the cloud. Wait a few minutes and you'll find the video in your personal channel:
If the recording is not available in your personal channel, please contact your Nudgis administrator
Microsoft Teams
Please note that for Team integration, the recordings of your video meetings will be stored in the same tree structure as your discussion channels, which by default will be located in the “Microsoft Teams” root channel on your Nudgis server.
In the example below, the video recording of the meeting made in the “Group B” channel of the “Maths 1st year” team will be transferred to the “Microsoft Teams > Maths 1st year > Group B” channel.
To do this, you'll need to start a meeting via the “Meet > Meet now" button in the top right-hand corner :
You can then change the meeting title :
Don't forget to start recording your conference:
Do the same to stop recording, then hang up. You should find the recording of your conference in your channel:
Once the video has been processed by Microsoft Teams, it will be sent in your channel in Nudgis. In our example, it would be in the channel “Microsoft Teams > Maths 1st year > Group B > Meeting in _Group B_-20241119_162243-Meeting Recording.mp4".
To know more about the possibilities offered by third-party encoders integration, we invite you to consult our article Live streaming on Nudgis using third-party encoders such as OBS on how to set up a live broadcast from Zoom or Teams to Nudgis
As you've seen, Nudgis is interoperable with your third-party collaboration tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. We're also compatible with Big Blue Button, whose integration possibilities can be discovered in this article Integrate your BigBlueButton media with your Nudgis platform !
