LTI | LTI 1.3 External tool

The integration of Nudgis into your LMS (LTI 1.3) has been enhanced by the development of distinct tools, each meeting a specific need. Indeed, you will be able to find most of the features of the UbiCast plugins by using LTI 1.3. We will first look at setting up the generic tool, then the test page, and finally the LTI Manager page.

The generic external tool: a flexible integration of Nudgis

The generic external tool based on the LTI 1.3 standard will allow you to integrate Nudgis services. This tool is essential because it creates the link between your LMS server and Nudgis.

• A single configuration reusable across multiple courses;
• Seamless authentication via LTI 1.3 Single Sign-On (SSO) (i.e., your LTI users will be created automatically on your Nudgis platform);
• Secure management of data exchanges between the two platforms;

The LTI Manager: optimized video content management

The third tool is the LTI Manager page, "Video Manager", specifically designed for LTI 1.3 integration.

Thanks to this interface, teachers can, depending on their permissions:

• Browse their video catalog;
• Select content to embed into a course;
• Quickly publish a video without complex technical operations;

The LTI Manager interface can be configured in a few steps. The following screenshot illustrates the expected result once settings are finalized in your course, which depends on your LTI role permissions (in our case here, teacher):
