NUDGIS - 13.1.0

 

This document contains the functional enhancements of Nudgis 13.1.0. Please refer to the full release note to see all the changes.

 

1. New upload experience

1.1. Bulk upload

It is now possible to upload multiple files at once to your Nudgis platform. This simplifies the experience of the contributors and enables them to save time. The contributor can choose to drag and drop content, or import videos from his computer by clicking on the associated button (to navigate through his files):

To add multiple files, the path is the same as for uploading a single media:

Create (at the top right) > Upload

 

1.2. Simplification of upload options

Once he has imported his media, the contributor can select their destination channel. He can also change the language spoken in the media, set the importing options and choose the actions to perform on these media.

It is notably possible to import your media as drafts, which means that only the creator and Administrators will be able to see them.

NB1 - Changing the destination channel or importing media as drafts will have an impact on the visibility of the content. This impact is indicated at the bottom of the page (see screenshots below).              

NB2 - The two icons below indicate to the contributor that automatic subtitling and automatic enrichment are supported for his media.

2. Automatic enrichment with artificial intelligence

It is now possible to enrich your media using artificial intelligence (AI).

Indeed, the service Aristote can now be integrated into your platform to automatically enrich your video or audio files with artificial intelligence. If you have any questions regarding this service, please write to : support.aristote@centralesupelec.fr.

Once configured, this integration allows you to automatically generate on your media:

• a title
• a description
• some keywords
• a questionnaire

To enrich a media with AI (if Aristote has been integrated to your platform):

Access your media > Click on "Enrich with AI" > Choose between the options > Generate data

It is not possible to edit the title of the media or restart an automatic enrichment task if this task is already in progress.

Reminder - These options will also be offered to you when uploading one or several media to your platform (see section 1.2.).

NB - A new menu allows Administrators to access and configure automatic transcription and

translation tools, as well as AI enrichment options.

3. Improvement of the player appearance 

The video player evolves to become more modern (rounded corners and simplified icons).

The "Settings" button has also been enhanced. It now groups the management of Autopilot, the subtitles display options and the choice of quality settings).

 

4. Simplification of content creation and profile menus

A storage gauge shows the contributors the percentage they have left to upload or create new content.

To access the content addition options, the contributor must click on "Create".

To access his profile information, he must click on his name.

5. Redesign of the "Advanced" menu

The "Advanced" import menu has been revised. It is now dedicated to specific media types (Live media, Embed code, YouTube,...).

6. Tasks details on media

It is now possible to consult the status of tasks in progress on a media (enrichment, transcription, etc.). This provides more visibility to contributors.

To view this, you must access a media and click on the following button:

NB - It is not possible to edit the media title or to click on "Enrich with AI" if an automatic enrichment task if it is already in progress.

7. Number of items per page

If they are using the "table view", users can choose the number of items to display per page.

NB - This is not available in the channel "Latest Media".
